What is Mesopotamia? Mesopotamia is a Greek term,
meaning The Land between the Rivers. And it is
also the 1st people civilized culture we have
known until now. Through our site, we hope to
make you understand why we have to take a look at
past. In other words Why are we required to study
History? Is it useful? Is there any reason for
this? Next, we will introduce how its affected
cultures through on the world -- its
achievements, patterns of society, history,
races, and influence on us in the modern world.
Of course, we will explore how more might be
learned from it. We hope the visitors around the
global village will reconstruct their knowledge
of the ancient civilization of Mesopotamia,
something often neglected in our education. On the land between
Euphrates River and Tigris River, the Mesopotamia
created the first cuneiform, law case,
agricultural almanac, the earliest beer,
pharmacopoeia, epic, mythology, proverb, saying,
aphorism, school, library, and prototype of
Biblical stories, e.g. the Garden of Eden, and
the Ark of Noah.
