In the beginning, there was only formless Chaos. Out of the dark came Gaea, the earth, and Eros, the love. From Chaos also came Erebus, the darkness and Nyx, the Night. Out of Gaea's loneliness came Uranus, the sky. Together with Uranus, Gaea gave birth to the Titans. The oldest Titan, Cronus, overthrew his father Uranus, which marked the end of the era of first gods.
