First, list all the components of a forest ecosystem (deciduous or coniferous), considering all aspects of the forest.

Activity 1: Choose one part of the ecosystem, and write down the components it affects. Use knowledge to write out how it is affected by fire, and after it is affected by fire, how it affects other components in the ecosystem.

Activity 2: Make a 3 columned list, labeling one column Ecosystem Component, the other Negative Effects, and one Positive Effects. Using your knowledge, put the list of ecosystem components in that column, and then list the positive effects and negative effects a fire has on each component.
