Question: What do I need to listen to/watch the interview clips?

Answer: You'll need RealPlayer, which is available for download at www.real.com (and is free).

Answer: Please make sure your volume is turned up and not muted, and that your speakers are on.

Answer: Please make sure that you are submitting an image under 80 kilobytes in size, and is either a gif or jpeg, with an extension of .gif, .jpg, or ,jpeg

Question: Why do I need to register to be able to post stories/articles, or edit posts on the message board?

Answer: To be able to moderate these areas on the site, we need to have control over possible unappropriate posts, so we need you to register.

Question: Who can post to to the message board/ stories/articles section, or user picture gallery?

Answer: We would gladly accept content from anybody. If you have any problems, please notify us, in the help section in the message board (located here)

Question: I get an error "File could not be found," why is this?

Answer: If you receive this error, there is a problem with a link in the site. Don't worry, though, we have a program that will notify us when someone receives this error, and are able to immediately remedy this problem.

Question: Can I use the content on this site for my own website?

Answer: It depends; If you want to use written content, not without written consent, but if you would like to use a picture from our picture gallery, you may, as they are public domain, with the exception of Craig Thomas' photos.

Answer: You'll need to go to the text-only version of the site, which can be found here. Sorry, but your browser is not capable of displaying our other page correctly. To download a newer version of your browser, click here for Microsoft's site, or here for Netscape's site.

Question: How do I change the font size?
|
Answer: You'll have to go to the first page you came to when you entered the site (which can be found here), and choose the font size and language, and enter the site again.

Question: When I look in the picture gallery, all I see is a list of small pictures- how do I see the larger ones?

Answer: To see the larger picture of the thumbnail size pictures, either click on the description or the picture.

Question: Why do I need RealPlayer?
|
Answer: To fit as many clips as we could on the site, we needed to put them in a format called Real Media. This makes files much smaller in size, but the downside is that you need to download RealPlayer, which is available for free at www.real.com.

Question: Why isn't the video smooth/clear on the interviews?
|
Answer: To be able to see the movies at all, you need to have a 56k modem. Anything faster, such as DSL or cable will give smoother, clearer video.

Question: I have a 13 inch monitor, or smaller, (this is a resolution of 640 x 480 or less, with the exception of laptops), why do I have to scroll to see the whole page?

Answer: Sorry, but the page had to be designed to be at least a certain size, and we chose that size to be 640 x 480, which is a little bit bigger than can fit on your monitor- you'll just have to live with the scroll bars. On the other hand, if you want the text-only version of the English site should display fine. That section is located here.

Question: I'm on the text-only version on the site, but I want to see the picture galleries, can I?

Answer: You can, but because of your browser version, the pages may look weird. Click here for the picture gallery, and click here for the user-submitted picture gallery.

Question: The audio/video is garbled, why?
|
Answer: Well, there are two main reasons for this. It could be that your modem is slow- for audio, a modem with a speed of 28.8kbps or higher should be fine, and for video, a 56k modem should be fine. There may be times when there is high useage on this site, or the Internet, and you'll just have to try again later.
