or suns, and that we are currently in the 5th and last world which is
doomed to be destroyed by earthquakes. These 5 ages are reflected in the
carvings on the Sun Stone. The Vaticano-Latin Codex is a pictorial primary

Represented by Chalchiuhtlicue, water goddess

Destroyed by a rain of fire, blood and lava
The 5th Age
Represented by Tonatiuh, the Sun God, appearing within the symbol Ollin
which signifies movement in the centre of the carvings.
