Welcome...

Oriental mythologies share amongst them many similarities, one of which is their departure from the convention of the myths of Europe such as that of the Greek. We present to you a slice out of the pie of oriental mythology hoping that by doing so, you would be able to notice various differences in terms of the style and the tone of the myths of East and West.

For one, the gods in the East are much less omnipotent as those from the West. The glamour that is associated with the Greek gods and goddesses are a far cry from those in Oriental mythologies. The problem with Oriental mythologies is also the fact that history is very often interwined with fiction, blurring the line between facts and myths, especially so in the case of China. We have taken much care to choose only myths which did not involve history, and as such we present to you a selection of oriental myths.
