"The benefits of the DARE and CARE
program are many. The obvious one is that it teaches kids how to say no
to drugs, alcohol, and gangs, but it also builds positive self esteem and
give kids positive alternatives for a healthy lifestyle.
All the lessons are interactive and student orientated. Probably the highlight of the program is having the CARE students come in and role model. The fifth graders really look up to the high school kids, probably more than they know. Their presence in the classroom really clinches it for the fifth graders." Michael Rux |
