A day filled with singing, dancing, and an important message is what Rock-n-Prevention offers. The professional traveling group "trained" about 20 high school CARE members, teaching the lyrics and dance moves to their show. This took about 90 minutes and included time for background information about Rock-n-Prevention.

At 9:30, grade school students arrived.  After a few ice-breaker games, the show was underway.

Everyone had a great time belting out songs like "That's What I Like About You." It was  fun to watch the CARE members dance. There was also a serious message that was reflected in some of the songs. One of the founding members

shared a song written for friends who have been affected by substance abuse.

Later, participants broke into groups and performed "good-choice" skits.  an example is one student plays the bully, offering drugs to other students.  The good students have to decide what to say and how to get out of the situation.

Rock-n-Prevention sent a good message to the students: Stay drug and alcohol free and  have high self-esteem.
