Graduation is an all-night drug and alcohol-free graduation party.
All seniors are invited to attend free of charge.
Planning for the event begins in November, when committees are created and tasks are delegated. There are decorations, publicity, food and music, entertainment, and prizes committees. Each year a theme is chosen for decorations. Local businesses sponsor the 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. fiesta by donating food, money, and prizes. Every hour there are drawings for prizes, such as TVs, DVD players, radios, college dorm supplies, phones, money, and much more. The food room is kept well-stocked throughout the night with pizzas, chips, cookies, fruit, veggies, etc. Entertainment provided for the seniors have included a hypnotist, bouncy boxing, laser tag, giant trampolines, a mini race track, swimming, and basketball. No one sleeps that night because there is too much to do! In the morning, breakfast foods are provided for the sleepy seniors' ride home. It is a good feeling to
know that all the drivers are going home sober and that everyone
had a great time without any drugs or alcohol.
