When you place your board on top of your test strip at an odd angle, have you ever noticed how the projection of your negative can be distorted through the enlarger? Instead of printing your picture flat on the table, you can angle your paper to create a distortion. Take a look at this picture below. The photographer pulled the corners of the picture up toward the light to achieve the stretched corner effect.
