In this
step, we will work on the circle labeled Section A.
Start by setting the Snap to Center,
then starting at the center of Section A, make a circle
that has a radius of 1. Set the Snap
back to Grid, then draw two circles side by side that
each have a radius of 0.2253. They should be
positioned near the top of the circle and slightly off
center to the right. It will look like this:

Now you will use the Arc
(Sp, Ep, Mid)
command for the rest of this
step. Draw in the curves below using this
command. It is ok if they are not exactly the same,
but try to keep them as close as possible and scaled very
closely. You will have to change the Snap
to None several times.

One limitation of the free version
of CadStdŽ, is the absence of the Trim
command. With Trim, we could easily
remove the portions of the curved lines that overlap the
circles. Since we do not have Trim in
this version, we need to retrace the portions of the
circles that are visible underneath the curves using Arc
(Cen, Sp, Ep). You will have to switch your Snap
between Center, Grid and None as appropriate. Your goal
is to outline the small circles you drew at the top of
this page. Draw the circles without overlapping the
cables you just drew. When you are finished, delete
the original circles. The new circles you have now
made are highlighted below. It should look like
this:
