Here we will draw the sides of the platform. This will give the drawing a 3-dimensional feel. Start by utilizing the  Line command to draw a 270 degree line that is 0.5" in distance. You will have to set your Snap to None for this particular step. Do this at each of the 3 bottom corners of the platform. Then use the Line command again to connect the 3 as shown below. Use Snap to End for this.

Next we will be drawing the legs of the platform. Click on Next to go to Step 4.
