Lesson 10. Orthographic Projection of Space Shuttle Orbiter

An orthographic view is when you are looking at a object from 90 degrees, or straight at it.  This means that you can only see 1 side of the object.  In this drawing, the object is a cube.  The view on the left is isometric and is explained in lesson 11.  The other views are orthographic. You see either the top, left side, right side, bottom, front, or back.   The maximum number of orthographic projects necessary to define any three-dimensional object is 6.
