LESSON 10. Orthographic Projection of Space Shuttle Orbiter

STEP 5. The finishing details

First you'll draw the nose.  Use the Arc command, and make a curve (going from left to right) that connects the top ends of the drawing.  The midpoint should be X=-0.25, Y=.0625.  Then draw another one, connecting the two lines, then type in  X=-0.25 , Y=.160.

Next make a vertical line through the center of the rectangle. Then draw four horizontal lines through the rectangle as shown below.

To finish the plan view, change the line thickness to 0.1. Then make three vertical lines 0.0625 long, positioning them as shown by the highlighted ones below. Change the thickness to 0.06.  Then make three more vertical lines each .125 long, and place them 4 grids below the last three lines you made.

That's it!  Here's the final plan view of the shuttle.
