Welcome

In the year 1609 Kepler released the first two of his three laws (see the section about Kepler"s lawsReferenceReference) in the book Astronomia Nova, the New Astronomy. Kepler"s laws opened the door to a new era in physics and astronomy and it has still a great meaning for physiscists as well as astronomers. We have chosen to name our website Astronomia Nova because we our primary concern is moderne astronomy/astro physics, and we take advantage of some new inventions in teaching, as fx. our Crab NebulaReferenceReference and HR-diagramReferenceReference applets.

Target group: The primary objective for the website is to ensure a foundation so the user can do astronomical / physical measurements and thereby take a step further than just actual knowledge. Our main target group is therefore highschool students with some elementary mathematical and physical background. Some of the site is a bit tough and some quite easy - all depend on who you are - but we've tried to make it as easy as possible to digest.

Notice: Technically, the site is optimized for Internet Explorer 4+ and Netscape Naviagtor 6+ with the resolution 1024x768 and 24 bit colors.

You can navigate through the site using the menues in the top and selecting the sections in the submenues. You can also use these ikons in the right side of the top field:
