Name Description
G4 Is a CPU developed by IBM and Motorola with only 7 steps long pipeline. A 867MHz G4 is up to 83% faster then a Pentium IV 1.7GHz.
GHz Gigahertz - billions of cycles per second. Most often used as a measurement of a PC processor chip's speed and power, with bigger numbers meaning more speed and a higher price. 1000 MHz = 1.0 GigaHertz.
Gigabyte 1000 or 1024 Megabytes, depending on who is measuring.
Gigabyte or Gig Unit of measurement for pieces of information : approximately 1 billion bytes, 1 million kilobytes, or 1000 megabytes. The gigabyte is the largest measure in common use today. Sometimes shortened to "Gig" or even just G.
GPU The GPU is the "brain" of the grapiccard, as the CPU. It processing all information that is send to it.
Graphics A catch-all term for anything involving drawing images on a PC screen. A game with great graphics is one that is visually spectacular.
Graphics card An expansion card which the PC uses to control the monitor's graphics. Most modern PCs have a special slot for graphics cards called AGP, but you can also get PCI format cards.
