The Bulgarian Commune

WHO ESTABLISHED THE NARCOCOMMUNE IN BELMEKEN

The commune is established by the Free Choice Foundation. Its chairman is Mr Vladimir Kachakliev. He took the decision to fight for the lives of the drug addicts in Bulgaria, when the fate faced him and his wife with the problem - their son Toma began to take drugs in 1995 and he became dependent on heroin. "We, as parents, have thought, that what we see on TV will not affect us. But it happened. I grabbed him and took him to the foreign countries in order to isolate him from the milieu. Without medicines he succeeded in getting over." Mr Kachakliev has been to some of the communes in Italy. They are 950 in number and they have redeemed thousands of children. After the pattern of the Italian communes he decided to establish the narcocommune in Bulgaria. For this purpose he realized the project `Alternatives` of his Free Choice Foundation.
