Metox-amphetamines

The chimera, created when amphetamine and mescaline are mixed is called TMA; this substance proves to have very interesting qualities. In doses of 100-200 mg TMA causes the typical for mescaline visual hallucinations, but they appear only after a strong outer stimulus, therefore stroboscope is used. A dose, greater than 200 mg, causes, after half an hour, sweating, tremor, feeling of cold, nausea and dizziness. In the next 7 hours the effects over the psyche are very similar to those of mescaline, with one very important exception – the participants in the experiment showed one unexpected reaction – they became angry and hostile and developed euphoric megalomania. The TMA is used very rarely outside the laboratories, maybe just because of this effect.

The simplest representative of the hallucinogenic amphetamines is the PMA (death drug). It is synthesized very easy and that’s why it can be found very often on the black market. A foolish article, according to which, it was the second most powerful hallucinogen after LSD, stimulated the interest of the illegal chemists towards PMA; this conclusion was based on the experiments performed over lab mice. Actually PMA is 1000 times weaker than LSD; in doses of 50-70 mg it causes some effects, similar to those of mescaline, but it is rather a stimulant than anything else. After inconsiderable increasing of the dose the PMA may have some unpleasant side-effects such as anxiety, delirium and muscle spasms. PMA is relatively highly toxic.
