Nutmeg

Maybe the most widely spread plant hallucinogen is the nutmeg; it is actually the fruit of the evergreen tree “Myristica fragrans”, which grows on the Mollusks archipelagos. Some scientists suppose that the popularity of the cakes, made using nutmeg is so great because even in lower doses it causes a pleasant influence over the mind. In Yemen people think that the nutmeg is an aphrodisiac, for which there is of course a good reason.

By some unknown reason it looks like that the nutmeg is a drug, which is used only in prison, and only by some of the people there. Maybe this is because it is something very bad to take in. Usually 6 – 8 spoonfuls are needed. They are poured in hot water. The mixture is stirred until it gets milk-brown in color. Then the user has to drink from it. The nutmeg is not solved and the person has to make the awful bitterness enter the stomach as quickly as possible. During the next half an hour the stomach is trying to get rid of it, but the user has to try to overcome the nausea and not to let it get out.

After 45 minutes the user feels he is laughing like an idiot to almost everything. No matter what are his thoughts, his actions or what are the actions of the others around him he can’t help laughing. Everyone who has smoked marijuana is familiar with this state of inability to control his laughter. Some who has tried LSD had also similar experience.

When the drug gets total control of you, beautiful visions replace reality. These are usually exotic pictures. From this moment on the nutmeg resembles very much concerning its characteristics LSD. The visions and the dreams lose their connection and come as particle of unconnected experiences. You may relive your childhood but this time there would be only happiness. Then the visions may turn into countless colors. Suddenly somewhere from faraway music comes, which makes you feel wonderful. Usually this music is the one played for the prisoners on the radio. Sometimes, just as marijuana, the user can feel a whole symphony, played in the most sophisticated manner, without any music actually playing around the person. The voices that are heard are also part of this experience.

But in comparison to LSD and marijuana, there are some cases, the user can get out of the comma and understand what the others talk to him about. But his opinion is that the distance between the question asked and the answer given is about 10 minutes, therefor the answer is spoken very slowly and heavily.

There is one resemblance between the nutmeg and marijuana – afterward the effect the user feel extreme hunger, especially for sweets. In the same way the marijuana smoker thinks that a slice of bread is the most wonderful food in the world. ?

When you finally feel relaxed from the nutmeg, you fell into deep sleep. But the wake-up is extremely difficult. The consequences of the nutmeg are really painful. Every bone and muscle from your body hurts, as if you are suffering from malaria. The pain in the eyeballs pulsates. The nose is running and you feel very deep depression.
