classification of drugs >>> indole hallucinogens >>>Indole hallucinogensAlpha – alkiltriptaminesThe presence of the alkyl group in alpha-state leads to the slow degradation of these substances in the organism, because of which they are active when they are taken in orally. Before the “monaz” (etripgamine, AET) was used as an antidepressant, but recently it was banned, because in greater doses its effect resembles very much the one of ecstasy. The indopan (monaz M, IT290) is a MAO-inhibitor and still is used in medicine as an antidepressant. In doses of about 50 mg, which are considerably bigger than those used by doctors, it causes a slight euphoria, escalating and changes in the perceptions. But its DMS production is even stronger. When 2 to 4 mg DMS are taken in the symptoms appear after a half an hour later – nausea and painful ache in the stomach. The effect reaches its peak between the second and the fourth hour. The perceptions are changed and there is also analgesia but the locomotive system is totally untouched; the duration is about 8 hours. |
