Imagine you are in a room that is
painted in a mix of luminous colours. The room is
brightly lit up and you constantly hear pounding sounds
from a nearby construction site. On a scale of 1 to
10, 10 being the easiest, how easily will you get
to sleep? A selected few might reply 10, but a majority
of us would probably find it difficult even keeping
our eyes shut. From the above example, we see that
the atmosphere of our bedroom does affect how comfortably
we sleep.
Bedrooms walls should be painted with
'cool' colours, or rather, colours soothing to the
eye. Striking colours often irritate the eye and thus
make the person less prone to falling asleep. Lighting
is the next factor that would come into one's consideration.
Bedrooms should be dimly lit, with less visibility,
the eye is strained and thus becomes tired more easily,
creating the perfect resting environment.
