We will talk now about ROMAN & GREEKS Mythology
May be you find similar between ROMAN and GREEKS mythology but it quite different
Greeks were the earlier of the two. They loved life and had little interest with afterlife, which to them was unpleasant even for the greatest of men.
The Greeks believed in individualism and had the most personalized gods. Their gods had individual strength and flaws. Even though the Greek gods had contact with other cultures their gods are thoroughly Greek, but the Greeks also had mortal heroes who played important roles.
We, today, don't only know the Greeks for their myths but also for the alphabet that we use for college sororities.
The Romans were more disciplined and less imaginative. The Romans were more into engineer than poetry.
They valued war and the warrior more than the greeks did. Roman region was tightly woven into everyday life. Normal activities were connected to "worship". There were gods of important tasks, such as plowing fields and cutting woods.
Romans adopted Greek myths pretty much, but they did change some names. Sometimes they did this by merging existing Roman gods with Greek god names.
The importance of gods also change a little, example is Ares(Greek). Ares in Greek mythology was not of much importance. Unlike the Greeks the Romans saw Ares as a prestige figure.
Hermes (Mercury)
Mercury (identify with the Greek god Hermes) was a messenger god of Jupiter (Zeus) he was also the God of Games, Business, and Story Telling.
Mercury was an offspring of Jupiter and Maia, but Mercury started out as the protector of the animal kingdom and because cattle became a main source of wealth he became the god of wealth and then trade.
Aphrodite (Venus)
Aphrodite was the goddess of Beauty and Love.
Aphrodite had a perfect figure and pure feathers plus and innocent manner. Aphrodite always was seen smiling.
To the Romans she was known as Venus.Aphrodites true love was Ares, the child was the goddess Harmony. Aphrodite was not only attractive to gods but also mortals.
Gea (Mother Earth)
Gea was the great goddess of the early Greeks.
She represented the Earth and was worshipped as the universal mother. The greeks believe she created the universe and gave birth to the first race of Titans (gods) and the first humans.
Greeks believe that Chaos was first to come, which was made of Void, Mass, and Darkness then came Earth in the form of Gaea. From mother earth came the sky god Uranus and the starry heavens. Mountains, plains, seas, and rivers also came from Gaea.
She became the oldest god of early greeks and supreme goddess of gods and humans. Gaea was the one who presided over marriages and oaths.
Gaea was honored as a prophets. The Romans also believed in this god.
Ares (Mars)
Mars (Ares in Greek mythology) was a Roman God, he was the god of War, mostly because he acted and thought like a warrior.
Ares loved bloody warfare and was driven by rage and a desire for violence.
Ares also loved the noise of battle. His normal day was one of conflict and mindless killing. Ares was such a piece of work, just so blood driven.
Zeus (Jupiter)
In Greek mythology Zeus was king, king of the heavens, Earth, and all of Olympian gods.
Not only was he named for all of these things but he was also thought of as the god of Justice.
Zeus (Known as Jupiter in Roman mythology) became the Lord, King, of the Heavens and etc. when he overthrew the god Cronus and the Titans.
When becoming king of the Heavens he granted Neptune (Poseidon) dominion over the sea and his other brother Pluto (Hades) dominion over the underworld.
Zeus was married to his wife Hera (Juno in Roman mythology) the queen of the gods, but she was always jealous of the attention he gave other goddess and women.
In Roman mythology is the same but some gods are named different.
Cronus (Saturn)
Cronus (known as Saturn in Roman mythology) was the god of Time and the son of Uranus and Gaea.
Cronus' brothers and sisters were the Titans and because of a revolt against their father Uranus Cronus became the King of the Gods.
Cronus was always afraid that his kids would overthrow him so he ate them and when Rhea his wife had their last child Zeus she tricked Cronus into eating a rock instead of Zeus. Like Cronus was afraid , Zeus overthrew him with the help from his sisters and brothers.
Apollo (Sun) and Uranus

Uranus, which stands for starry sky, was said to have came out of the Earth.
In the creation of Greek mythology Uranus was shown as the goddess Gaea.
Poseidon (Neptune)
Neptune (in Greek mythology was Poseidon) was the god of Sea and Earthquakes.
Neptune's father Cronos (Saturn) was defeated Neptune and his two brothers, Jupiter and Pluto, divided the world into three halves.
While Neptune took the sea his brother Pluto had the underworld and Jupiter had the sky. Neptune had a terrible attitude and was reflected by the deadly earthquakes.
One day Neptune saw Amphitrite, the water nymph and fell in love. After being refused by Amphitrite for her hand in marriage Neptune sent one of his dolphins out to plead to Amphitrite again for her hand in marriage to Neptune and she changed her mind and said yes.
Because of what the dolphin did Neptune sent the dolphin to the heavens as constellation Dolphinus.
Hades (Pluto)

Persephone though was not able to come back because she had ate something from the underworld and was trapped there, but an agreement was reached and so every spring when the flowers bloom and the fruit grow Persephone comes back to Earth and in autumn when the world gets cold Persephone goes back to Hades in the underworld.
If you are wondering how the dead got to Hades, well they were escorted by Mercury to the River Styx and shipped across to Hades kingdom.
