An Expectant Look

or:

Two Unforgetable Scenes

My dog was playing with a Doberman. Weirdly enough there was nobody else in sight. Gina and I were just getting ready to go on, when I heard someone shouting. What he called, I can't remember, but it was obviously the dog's owner. Then I saw a man biking over the field towards us.

The Doberman had also seen his master and was watching him intensely. As soon as the man was close to the Doberman, the dog gaily hopped away. After maybe 30 yards he turned around and looked at his cursing master expectantly. The man biked over to his dog still calling, but couldn't make it closer than 4 yards: the dog hopped away again much to his master's dismay.

They repeated their game a couple of times and then they were out of sight. I was surprised when they came back again, obviously after turning quite a circle. The dog was maybe a little more expectant end enthusiastic, the man however was certainly angrier.

The following scene was so perfect; it could have been out of a movie.

The sun was setting and a lady was walking with three kids towards a village. The youngest boy was riding his tricycle. To the dismay of his mother, he was quite a bit faster than the walking people, and they were heading straight for a road. She shouted threateningly to her son, he should stop. He did stop, but only long enough for his mother to get as near as about four yards. Then he speeded away again on his tricycle. His mother shouted once more, until the boy stopped and looked back, but he didn't let her come nearer than three yards. To make the scene even more ridiculous, each of his mother's frustrated shouts echoed back from the nearby houses.
