 Blasie Pascal designed the first gear-driven counting Machine.

 Herman Hollerith developes a counting machine for the Census.

 IBM builds the Mark I.

 Transistors begin to replace the Vacuum tubes

 The Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer(ENIAC) was developed by John William Mauchly and John Presper Eckert. The use of Vacuum tubes begins.
