The Internet is one of the fastest growing communities in the world. In just a few years most people will have Cable or DSL Internet Access at home. A major advantage to this will be much better Search Engines and Ask sites. Search Engines will be able to make there search programs bigger and better because they won't have to worry about load time. Sites like Ask.com will be able to make there programs better for the same reasons.
Programs like FTP and Napster will be much better because downloading will be much faster. Anything that involves transfering files will explode in popularity because you just won't have to wait for downloads to finish. I think that use of the Internet period will explode because it will be cheap and fast. The Internet may be the most exciting medium for computers in the future.
