Q: What is an element?

A: An element is a substance composed of atoms having an identical number of protons as nutrons in each nucleus. Elements cannot be reduced to a simpler form by normal chemical means.



Q: How are elements made?

A: Most elements are not made. They are discovered. Some Elements though are made. Those are what we call artificial elements or man made elements.



Q: What are the different types of elements?

A: There are 4 different types of elements. Theres Solids, Liquids, Gases, and Plasmas.



Q: How many elements total are there?

A: There are 115 elements total in the Periodic Table of Elements, but elements 113, 115, and 117 are not known, but are included in the table to show their expected positions.



Q:What is an Atomic Number of an element?

A: The atomic number matches to the number of protons in the nucleus of an atom of that element. It also matches to the number of electrons in the neutral atom.
