TIME AND PHILOSOPHY

   Philosophically, there are three ways of define time : a cosmological,  a gnosiological and  an ethical way.

   In the cosmological approach,  time is the beginning of the world or the element that constitutes  it. (duration without the beginning and the end or with cycles  and returns).

    According to the gnosiological approach,  time is only the form of  thought, of  the mind, of memorie and of the expectation in which the present only exists, while the past and the future are constructions of  man, the subject of knowledge.

   In the ethical approach,  time is the symbol of  human life, subject to the most different situations. This ethical perspective becomes religious one  when  human life appears as a salvation way and  time seems the anticipation of eternity.
