PREFACE The one big problem which accompanied
man through his history is the problem of
time. In fact, man and time are inexorably linked: we come on to this world, we
spend there a tiny amount of
time and then we disappear. Living and becoming are one and the same. Yet, if it
is true that we belong to Time, it is also true that Time belongs to us.
It is put at our disposal as a sort of mysterious gift. Nothing is as fleeting as Time. To try and travel through the different meanings of Time is like facing the horizon, it offers endless possibilities. Our journey wants just to be a starting point.
