Cool Experiment

Materials:

Bottle with a narrow neck (salad dressing bottle)

Cake pan

Soil or clay

Funnel

¼ cup (50mL) baking soda

Dish Detergent

¼ cup (50mL) vinegar

Red food color

Steps:

1. Place the bottle in the middle of the cake pan. Then mold the soil around the bottle to make it look like a mountain.

2. Using a funnel pour the baking soda in to the bottle and add a squirt of dish detergent

3. Mix the vinegar with a few drops of food coloring. Then pour this mixture in the bottle. It should bubble up and come out like a real volcano would.
