Jujitsuka wear a judogi, which is also worn by Judokas. It consists
of a white cotton jacket and trousers and is designed after traditional
Japanese garments that were made of strong and lightweight fabric. Both
parts are loosely worn to allow movement. The pants hang below the knee,
and the jacket is held in place with a colored belt (obi) that is tied
twice around the waist and knotted in front. The color of the belt denotes
the student's rank, or level
of expertise. Judoka do not wear shoes during practice or competition.
