How much for this clone? (Loss of value for life)
A loss of value for life would also be a definite consequence. Now that we are almost done mapping the human genome, animals could be engineered in the future to contain a certain part of the human body, so that other people would not have to die for someone else to get a transplant. This is a bad thing, as this animal would become, in effect, a carrying case, and it could be anything. Say, in the future, your family had a genetically engineered dog and you love this dog a lot. If someone was to need a part of the dog, and it had to be killed, would you like that? Or would you be a cold-hearted murderer, and let it die without a second thought?
