With the presence of genetically modified, better, and more food, they don’t stand a chance. Anyone with the money, and the knowledge to get and use such crops is definitely going to have a monopoly on the food market, in more than 1 ways! If such a monopoly were to exist, the owner could increase or decrease the cost of food as he wanted, and that could create problems for people who could not even afford food now!
