Genetic modification can, on the other hand, have a very good effect. Despite the fact that it has many adverse effects on the environment, it would have a very large positive effect on the world’s problem: FOOD! By genetically engineering crops, they have a better chance of survival. Thus, the harvest would surely bring more than the usual collection with all the defective, mutated and otherwise inedible food. Scientists have calculated that by modifying the crops, yields will increase three fold. By increasing this collection, it would go a long way to feeding the staring people in developing countries all over the world.

This would also help the future generation to grow and prosper. The world is already over-populated, and that number is slated to increase. The population of Earth is slated to increase two fold by the year 2030. Can you imagine what kind of food problems we would be having by the time we get to that level? We can’t even handle things now!
