Taking Flight

For thousands of years, Man has seen how birds fly and yearn to be in the skies like them. Now, in the 21st century, it is possible with huge machines Man has built. Man now rides in the sky in this machines, exploring, conquering the skies. This metal wings opens up a whole new set of possibilities for Mankind. Larger distances can now be covered in a lesser time. The world is linked more closely, as distances between us no longer matter much.

We may know how good flight is, how it benefited the world so much, but do we really know how flight works? How we can stay in the sky in such a big heavy machine for so long and yet not fall to our deaths? Someone will have to explain all this and that is what we are going to do now. The concept of flight and aerodynamics will be explained thoroughly by our Thinkquest Team, and at the end of it all, anyone should be able to understand the concept of flight and how it happens..
