Conclusion

The small gentle stream between the alchemists and the true scientists gradually grew into a full-fledged river. Its course continued through time. While these two sciences continued on their paths, some people looked over to the other side of the river, but they seldom crossed. The search for the philosophers' stone slowly died down and modern chemistry continued to thrive. This is not to say that alchemy is altogether dead, because some do continue to practice it, but the following is a lot less than it was in the past.
From the early observations of Aristotle and Pliny, alchemy turned into chemistry with the help of scientists such as Lavoisier, Boyle, Hook, and others. We can now look at our modern materials and realize that they have their roots back when man was first discovering the chemistry and the reasoning behind what was happening in their world. So the next time you look at that modern steel skyscraper, think back to where it all began - Alchemy!
