About Us

The Team

Think

Mohamed H. Nuur was the founder of the team. It was rather fortunate how we met on the Internet. Cory S. Sanchez had posted a question about C++ on a message board, which included his ICQ number. Realizing that Cory was a student interested in C++, Mohamed contacted Cory and asked if he would be interested in joining this competition. We had many interesting ideas on what the site should be about, and we finally found a challenging and educational topic, programming in C++. Cory did most of the content and also created the sample applications in the documentation to help the user get a full understanding of this powerful language.

Quest

We brainstormed online until we came up with ideas for each section of the site. In order to be efficient, each member was assigned a task based on experience as well as an individual’s interest in the subject. Mohamed was the major web designer. He does great work and was a very great teammate to work with in this competition. Andrew J. Mckenzie was greatly appreciated as he did final revisions on the content of the site. Mihai-Adrian M Danilescu, Mohamed and Cory are studying C++ and wanted to share their experiences and help others learn this interesting computer language.

Challenge

One of the challenges we faced was keeping in contact with the other coaches and teammates. To solve this, Mohamed had posted his own private file transfer protocol (ftp), which was a great help. It allowed the team members to view the progress we were achieving and what sections needed attention. We always looked forward to seeing messages from each other! Mohamed and Cory had excellent communication and were able to discuss this project every night. Even though we are on opposite coasts, we did an excellent job of communicating. Thanks alot to our coaches Andrew J. Mckenzie, Sam Gladstein, and Abiola O. Osonowo.
