Page 3 Love was something that Zhimo could never be deprived of. Without love, Zhimo wouldn't have become a famous poet. He met Lu Xiaoman in Beijing, the Capital of China. Xiaoman was the wife of Wang Qing, one of Zhimo's friends. Wang Qing was very busy that he had no time to care about Xiaoman, so he often asked Zhimo to play with Xiaoman. At first, Zhimo agreed as Wang Qing was his friend, but gradually he was impressed by Xiaoman's knowledge and talent. They often went out together. Zhimo found that Xiaoman was not happy about her marriage because Wang Qing neglected her. Suddenly, Zhimo felt that he loved Xiaoman and decided to bring Xiaoman with happiness. The two fell in love. In 1925,
Zhimo was invited for a visit to Europe. He met Zhang Youyi, who went
to Perlin to study business. Youyi had become a modern woman and was much
open-minded. Zhimo's visit to Europe was disrupted when Xiaoman asked
him to return to China soon. Wang Qing had just moved to Shanghai, a big,
prosperous city in China and he wanted Xiaoman to move as well. Xiaoman
refused as it would be very difficult for her to see Zhimo in the future.
However, Wang Qing and Xiaoman's parents kept on threatening her that
she had to ask Zhimo to come back. In 1925, Zhimo was chosen to be the main editor of <<Zhaobao Fuxi>>. He added one section to <<Zhaobao Fuxi>> called "Poems" in April 1926. The section published more than 100 poems. After the marriage, Zhimo and Xiaoman lived happily and Zhimo's product in poems increased. He published several poem collections such as <<Zhimo's poems>>, <<Feilengchui's night>>. Zhimo had the intention of moving to Europe as the society at that time was very unstable but changed his idea later because of Xiaoman's health. After living for many years, Xiaoman started to waste money. She spent so much money that Zhimo had to work for two universities in order to sustain her. His product in poems decreased. In 1937, with the support of Weng Yiduo, a famous poet in China, Zhimo founded the <<poem magazine>>, the last magazine that Zhimo was in charge. In Nov. 19, 1937, Zhimo died in a plane crash, ending his short and brilliant life.
