Northern Right Whale Requires More Protection

The northern right whale, which is one of the world's most endangered animals, can very well become extinct, unless more effort is made to continue its survival.

Although right whales have been protected since the 1930s, its number has not been increasing significantly and this is mainly due to collisions with ships, which accounts for about 50% of the known deaths of right whales.

Currently, there are only about 300 right whales left in the world and scientists say that more conservation measures are needed to protect these whales and just by saving a few female whales a year, we can save these creatures from the brink of extinction.
