How Do Volcanoes Affect Us?
- Emit gases such as carbon dioxide and sulphur dioxide
- Helps to keep the earth warm
- If too much carbon dioxide is produced (i.e. deforestation, burning of fossil fuels),
- Might lead to global warming, causing floods/droughts
- Sulphur dioxide causes the problem of acid rain
- Acid rain corrodes stonework, kills fishes in lakes, etc.
