How do they work?
An electric car is very similar to a solar car, except they are generally
made for commuting rather then racing, so inside they are much more comfortable.
They have a battery, a charger to charge the battery, a controller to
regulate the power, which is connected to the accelerator pedal and an
electric motor. When the driver turns on the power, selects the direction
and presses the accelerator pedal, electricity is sent from the battery
through the controller and to the electric motor, which then via the drive
train, powers the rear or front wheels.
