History
The history of electric cars dates may have dated back to the early 1830,
but J.K. Starly an English invertor and Fred M. Kimball of Boston are
generally credited with inventing the first practical electric cars.
Electric cars grew so much in popularity that in 1904 one third of all
the cars in New York, Chicago and Boston were electric. But this popularity
died off into the 1930's. Some manufactures appeared again in the 1960's
following environmental concerns, in the 1970 following oil shortages
and again in 1996 when Honda produced an electric car.
So far fully electric cars are not very rare, in the near future we are
more likely to see hybrid electric cars.
