Introduction

As the earth becomes more and more populated, and as pollution increases with it there is becoming more and more of a need to relace the major polluters with more environmentally friendly products. This is where we bring in the electric and hybrid electric car.

The electric car, which at the moment is not widely used, is totally dependent on an electric motor powered by a battery, whereas the hybrid electric uses it's electric motor to supplement a generally low powered conventional motor when it is put under stress, eg. going up a hill.
