Thermal Pollution

Desalination of Sea Water

  • vacuum formed by the barometric column is used to evaporate water discharged from factories, containing excess heat and impurities
  • exchange between heated water vapor with the colder cooling water, thus condensation occurs to form distilled water
  • utilize more of the would-be-wasted-heat and get drinking water at the same time

End Shoreline Deforestationr

  • estrict the elimination of trees that protect the shoreline from the sun's warming rays
  • maintenance of organic matters which contains the ratio balance of nutrients in the soil, thus increase soil fertility
  • increase soil compactness by planting trees which the roots act as a foundation and grip to the soil particles
  • construction of barriers surrounding shorelines using barricades of rocks

Prevent Soil Erosion

  • plowing field in circular motion, discing fields instead of plowing them and using ground cover species where possible
  • tillage to prepare soil for sowing of crops by elimination of native vegetation growing in the area to be cultivated, loosening and providing a bed of soil that holds sufficient moisture which uproots; substituting remaining and newly sprouted weeds
  • crop rotation by growing different crops in succession on the same land rather than utilizing one-crop system or haphazard change of crops

Geothermal Energy

  • heat derived from Earth's surface as a result of volcanic eruption, hot springs or geysers
  • hot water is brought to the surface where they are subjected to 'flashed' to steam by the release of pressure from specially designed vessels
  • equipment is employed by well drilling equipment near the point of extraction
  • conversion of heat from these geoactivities to electricity
