I am wondering where to look for information for a friend. She has a door that was in the attic of the house she grew up in. The door is wooden===========but the big question is the ETCHED GLASS IN THE DOOR. IT IS A PICTURE (ALL GLASS) AND IT HAS THE WORDS "EMPOR NAPOLI" OR "NAPOLE", ON A WHITE HORSE AND HE IS LOOKING BACK AND STABBING OR FIGHTING WITH ANOTHER PERSON WHICH LOOKS LIKE THEY ARE ON A BLACK HORSE. THERE IS A LIONS FACE UNDERNEATH THE HORSES. It is beautiful, cannot find any other words on it or the name of who may have done the work. If anyone who reads this can help guide me toward finding more information, I would appreciate it. We are curious as to the age, value, and/or where it may have come from. She called a local library and got some info, but I don't believe it has anything to do with this glass piece. In short the library gave her vague information such as====born 1769/died 1821. French Revolution-1789. Led troops to Germany in 1805. And gave her the name of a (famous painter) Jacque Louie David (with a date of around 1821). I have looked everywhere possible; that I could think of on line with no luck. I did find one painting that looks like napolian on the horse rearing up which looks like the one on the glass, but it is a painting. Any info would be appreciated.
