Meet the Staff!

How we got started!

It all started when Mrs. Roberts(Our Coach) got a notice in the mail about Thinkquest. Mrs. Roberts then brought it to a few of the students at AMS. We then decided to form our team and create the web page that you are viewing at this moment.

Why did we choose Technology?

We decided on the topic of Technology because that is the main common ground for each of our team members.

What are we trying to accomplish by the production of this web page?

We are trying to educate the world about the fascinating power of computers. However, we also realize that many of those who will even be able to access this site must already be fairly literate. Nevertheless, nobody knows everything there is to know. Not even the infamous Al Gore, former American Vice President. That man claimed he invented the Internet. While this is highly ficticious, he may only be mistaken. He could have invented part of it. Such as, shall we say, a web site or two. Back to the point. If someone doesn't know the meaning of a term that they heard, they could try our ever expanding definitions list. As it so happens, we affectionately call it our third Bible, right after the real one and an HTML book that we found incredibly useful. Not only that, but there is a short quiz that the viewer can take to see how much they have learned from our site.

What we do in our "other" free time.

Coach and Teacher: Mrs. Mary Roberts - Mrs. Roberts has been teaching in the Humble Independent School District for 12 years. For the last 10 years, she has taught at Atascocita Middle School. Mrs. Roberts says she feels like she is one of the luckiest teachers around because the subject matter she teaches is fun, interesting, challenging, and immediately "usable." She is rewarded daily by students that keep her on her toes by challenging her to prepare them and herself for the 21st century and all it will have to offer.
