If you’re an MP3 fanatic, you want the best of your pirated music, (If you paid for your music) You want thumping bass, and such crisp clear high notes you would think it was live, or in the case of classical music, a Stradivarius. Now, speakers may not be cheap, depending on what you want.

 

            Speakers for you computer are generally lower powered then normal stereo system; also some of them are magnetically shielded so that when they are near the monitor, which they usually are, they do not cause interference. Larger also does not mean better, look for the amperage on your speakers when you buy them, sometimes-smaller speakers may have a higher out put then large ones. A good feature that you may want to look for is a headphone jack on the front of your speakers; this makes for easy access when you want to listen to lyrics personally. A microphone jack would be something to defiantly look for; they are very useful when trying to hook up your microphone.

           

            You can buy surround sound speakers, if you are into intense games and wish to make that experience a whole lot better, these speakers are right for you. Although quality comes with a price, and often times that price is a little too high for most. You may want to get 2 speaker set, with a thumbing subwoofer. This option is cheaper.

 

            Connectors for speakers are very simple; just push the connector into the slots. Your sound card, or sound card connectors should be color coated for easy installation.

            Green – Speakers

            Red – Microphone

            Black – Digital Out (another speaker hook up)

 

Those are the basic types; all sound hook ups should have an inscription near them telling you which plug does which. The pictures may confuse you; speaker’s plugs are not hard to put in, so at first you don’t succeed, try the other ones.
