Interests for the environment have risen since the 1800's.
And now a remarkable effort have been shown in promoting the subject in
young minds. The message has been conveyed in TV shows and videos. Some
of famous cartoon heroes have been portrayed as conservationalists and
enviromentalists. If you thought that ecology can't be interesting why
don't you try leveling your opinion with:
CAPTAIN PLANET:
A cartoon show that was aired in Cartoon network for quite some time.
It features an imaginary hero- Captain planet formed by the combination
of five powers contributed by planeteers. [A squad of five kids carefully
chosen to represent their continents. Each planeteer has a power ring representing
one of the resources except for whose ring represents feelings.]
The saquad along with captain planet's help work to fight the Ecovillains.[These
characters act as the enemies of the environment, they porch wildlife,
pollute oceans and lands and invent potentially harmful equipments. Having
been in the game for long the ecovillains challenge the planeteers in a
variety of ways increasing adventure and enhancing learning.]
There challenge is not quite easy leading the squad in a number of
mysteries and adventure. Each day is a new day and you can only make it
better or worse it up to you. The planeteers say:

KIMBA the white lion:
When KIMBA was born his father was killed trying to rescue his friends
from porchers. Some time afterwards his mother drowned, when the
poacher's boat that was shipping them drowned. He did survive and it was
upto him to follow his fathers footstep or chicken out. KIMBA portrays
as a determined and courageous white cub who grows to a brave lion. From
his childhood KIMBA worked to save his kingdom and friends.
This cartoon shows how the poaching of animals disrupts balance of
nature and to add touch the witters and creators of the story goes in depth
to bring on screen what the wild feels about mans behaviour and how they
try to play against it.
DINKY DIS.
They call themselves, "Friends on freedom frontier." What frontier
exactly? This is another animal adventure. The DINKY DIS is a squad of
talking, walking and thinking animals. They have a sense of responsibility
and direction. Amaizingly this squad is well organised with a center, computer
and mordern communication systems. They have a team leader, computer programmers,
reaserchers and a squad ready to go where there is trouble. They try to
fight the evil sphere, which with its cunning tricks and never ending thirst
to destroy the environment and poach different animals poses as a great
challenge. The DINKY DIS work to uncover his mysteries and recue his prisoners,
what really bugs them is not knowing their challengers real Identity.
In there in introduction song they say:
"We show no fear!" WE ask "Do you?"
Michael Jackson:
He may be the king of pop or the king of hearts which ever it is this
celeb has an environmental touch. It may not be obvious that a celeb like
tis one would walk for environment. Think deeply! In his song "Make a better
place for you and for me!" He protrays the need for a clean environment.
In this song the videos show clips of destroyed lands.
Environment has been promoted in several ways but this is unique and
was sure to boost up environmental awareness. MJJ has not represented environmental
awareness in this song only but also when he agreed to let one of his song
be used in the movie adventure Free willy. [A movie portraying a young
boy with the determination to save his friend the whale from imprisonment
in the zoos for shows. With lots of training and help he finally manages
to save the young whale and set it free once and for all.]

Rudyard Kipling:
Perharps he wrote many animal stories, Mowgli beign the most famous
of the jungle book tales. Rudyad Kipling has shown a touch of environment
in almost all of his stories. In his story Rudyard Kipling takes us through
the adventure of a young seal who beign biased by the sight of blood shedded
by his fellows on the show of his home. A sight that wouldn't have been,
before the poachers invaded it and killed them for fur and oil. The young
white seal decides to set off in search of a better place to live in, a
place where he and his vast family of seals would at last leave in peace.
The young seal travels to many interesting places meeting other sea creature
that never occured to his mind as existing. He grows as he goes until to
his surprise he is quite an adult and still in his quest for a peaceful
place when at last he finds what he was looking for.
A place away from poachers, but how long was it going to last? Lets
hope long enough!

How many at his position have cared enough?
This US's vice president was a personal fan of environment. In his
campaigns he talked about environmental awareness and conservation. Talking
is easier than action isn't it? Perhaps yes! And this guy realised it as
well and he worked his words to action to show how much he cares. He wrote
a book on environment and that is quite enough to prove his thirst for
a better world.
