Biography~

Fatma's:
I come from Saudi Arabia and I'm seveteen, a Tanzanian national, My real name is Fatma but most of my friends and family know me as Centurion. I believe in learning never ends and that we learn each day and the best thing to do with our knowledge is ultilise it. My father says, "having knowledge and not using it, is like a donkey carrying a heavy load not knowing why he has to." I enjoy exploring especially the computer world and didn't have to sit in a class to learn html. I decided to take the chance and create this site, partly because I like the subject but mostly because I wanted to say sub-fulfil a dream that I and my siblings had.
Just two years back we saw Green peace in action and we really admired the way they worked and decided, "why don't we make a teen club, a real one!" "So that its managed by teens, owned by teens and have teens join it and the whole thing be dedicated to serving the environment." We really got crazy in the idea and we were so eager to make it real. We knew it was lots of work but we were determined to set it up and we always kept dreaming of the day when it is going to be popular. We were so attached to our mission that we started to play environmentalists, we bought everything we needed, first aid boxes, business cards and lots of other stuff. Our obsession was too much that we warned our father not to throw anything in the streets if he really respected what we believed in. Our father is this man who likes to give us a chance to implement what we believe in and believe in it even more so he played with us. One funny thing is that yes! We avoided polluting the street and use to keep all our garbage in a bag and carry it all the way home to through it in the bin. My father was so amused at this and exclaimed,"What environmentalists you are avoiding to pollute the street and pollute your own home!" And we replied, "Dad, the street endagers all but our house only us and since it is a small area far more easier to clean than the latter." Then there was a problem of making it legal. We never knew how? So as days passed the dream of ever putting it together flew away with it. Though we  see the fact that the club is never going to be real we still practice what was our goal and remain environment lovers, and still dream of the day that our club is going to be real.
Any ways when I learn't about this competition, I thought that if we couldn't fulfill the dream of having a real club, we can at least fulfil that of enhancing environmental knowledge and make it look appealing to teens. It all came natural without much planning. And as I write this I wonder has our site reached that goal?
We called our selves the 4Cs force- the four Cs standing for -Care for the environment, Contribute to keeping it healthy and clean, Control pollution, Courage -we need courage to face people and tell them our goal and to correct narrow minded fellows.
Working on this site has not been easy for my teammate and I. We had to put everything we thought was important and we never knew where to get all the information. There were times that we couldn't agree on what to and what not to put. At first we started with encarta encyclopedia 2000. We had for the first months to try and explore different domains to find those that dealt with environment cause we never had a single one in mind. And thanks God we were able to put it all together.
It wasn't an easy job and I have learnt alot through this competition, I learned to be independent and responsible, and how to share ideas with one another.

Osama's
I am a Pakistani national and reside in Saudi Arabia. My friends think Im such a child and all, they nick named me 'Hitler' because of a project I did about him and my love for the army. I never knew any thing about thinkquest until my team mate informed me about it. And I was like, "go a head am looking forward to do this." Though not that easily. It was tough I must admit, sometimes we didn't agree on other stuffs but anyways we did it.
I do like environment but at other times I find it boring but wen I was working in this project I found it rather interesting especially the part when we were doing the domain search. It was an entirely different experience for me, I mean I have done homeworks, school projects and none was the same as this one. I suffered impatience and stress and I guess this we both did. Sometimes we thought of putting the whole thing off for a more interesting subject. Im greatful however that I came to know about it and wish that after all that hard work we have finally done it and that you will find it helpful thus reach our goal.
I learnt alot through this entry, perharps the best lesson I learnt is to believe in myself.
