Many gorvernments world wide have set restriction on animal hunting and laws against poaching. In Zimbabwe however elephant hunting in elephant boom seasons is allowed due to the large elephant population. There has been a growing interest in conservation as a result of increasing pressures placed upon natural environment and widespread loss of natural habitats, growing number of extinct and endangered species. Conservation allows thing to evolve naturally, much as they have done with out our presence. It is traditional beleifs and poor mentality that has led man to destroy many species around the world. The beleif that natural items such as animal oil or leather has has led many so species to suffer endangerenment and still continues to do so. But the advent and education on synthetic fibre has some how reduced this level. We have once in time seen banners of protestants say 'The world is not ours alone.' Many government seem to have realised this fact and are trying to conserve the nautral habitats of many animals. This is done probably because many feel that the animals and wild plants have the right to live as they used to be in our fore fathers time before any revolutions. And probably because the richness and variety of different species retain the potential to provide natural products to satisfy not only mankind's present needs but also solutions to problems we have yet to encounter. In a sense that most medicines such as quinin have been discovered from the forest. There are several conservation methods including education and recycling. Many conservatives world wide have fought to conserve different species. There are a variety of conservation shemes including the conservation of grasslands, rain forests, fenlands and several animal species. Many gorvernments world wide have set restriction on animal hunting and laws against poaching. In Zimbabwe however elephant hunting in elephant boom seasons is allowed due to the large elephant population. Conservation and animal protection has helped many species to have a remarkable come back, birds species such as the bald eagle which was threatened atleast a decade ago has now been released to the wild. |
