Memory
- Topic Summary
|
| Ah, memories...the places and faces of the past that make us say, "those were the days". But wait, that's not what memory is all about. There are other types of memory, like remembering your e-mail address, a song, and even walking. Now, knowing how to walk seems kind of common sense and automatic right? It doesn't even appear like we actually need to remember that. Yet, this process had to be learned, which brings up another aspect of memory - it is crucial to learning. So what exactly is memory? How do we remember? And what the heck does it have to do with learning? Hmm . . . so many questions I will have to remember to answer. |

"My own brain is to me the most unaccountable of machinery - always buzzing, humming, soaring, roaring, diving, and then buried in mud. And why? What's this passion for?
" -- Virgina Woolf
